This is my 100th post! It’s a baby milestone in Tumblr terms I’m sure, but I’m going to try to post more and reach the 200th post hopefully very soon.

In other news, the next comic book on the pile is Angel Punk, Issues 0, 1/2, and 1. Story by Kevin E. Curry, and artwork by Val Mayerik.

Angel Punk - undecided

I’m undecided on this for two reasons: 1. I have no idea what’s going on in the story because 2. I’ve only read the first three issues, two of which are prequels. I understand the basic concept that this is going to be about angels and humans and the supernatural, but I’m just not taken in by the story as of yet. I’m still not sure how Mara got into all of this, why exactly she was in a juvenile detention center, or how she got her hands on some divine relics - but she does kick some serious ass. Also, it might have been just my eyes being unused to standard sized comic books but all of the panels on each page seemed huge. Like bigger than normal. It threw me off for some reason. But the artwork itself is excellent. Apparently, work on the film version of the series is already underway. I’m still unsure as to whether I would continue reading the comics or wait to see how the film turns out.
